DescriptionOn some versions the lumbar adjustment ofthe driver's seat backrest is carried out by a special electricmotor and is controlled by a switch on the outside of the actualseat. The circuit is protected by a fuse controlledby the seat heater relay. The seat adjustment can only be made withthe ignition switched ON.
Functional description The optional services relay J60 controlsthe heating circuit for the seats as well as the electric rear windowsand sun roof 3234128SeeE3060SUN ROOF . The coil for relay J60 is energized whenthe ignition is switched on (INT/A) by the line for fuse F6 of supplementaryfuse box B98 B, whilst the supply at the relay contact arrives fromthe battery, through the line for maxifuse J/B2 of B99. This supply passes through fuse F5 ofsupplementary fuse box B98 C which guarantees the protectionof the circuit and reaches the switch on the seat via the connections D70B and D71B : the supply for the device is therefore controlledby the ignition (INT/A); and is also connected to earth. When the switch on the seat is pressed, command signals (positive and negative) are sent to the motors N32 (driver'sside) and N33 (passenger side): reversing the signals accordingto the contact which is closed determines the direction of the rotationof the actual motor.
