DescriptionDuring starting (ignition switched ON), the operation of allthe instruments and warning lights is tested: all the warning lightsand the LEDs are switched on for around 4 seconds to check theiroperation. In the case of the milometer (LCD), all the LCD segmentsare lit up for about 4 seconds to check that they are working.This test function for the warning lightsis managed by the electronic circuits inside the speedometer modulewhich controls the test for the speedometer circuits and sends signalsto the rev counter and to the auxiliary instrument and the checkmodule.
Functional description The supply controlled by the ignition (INT) for the speedometermodule E10 reaches pin 10 of connector A from the line protectedby fuse B11 up to 2/99 or fuse F4 of the additionalfuse box B98B from 2/99. Pin 1 of connector A is earthed.The "warning lights test"signal is sent:to the auxiliary instrument E20 (pin 6) from pin4 of connector A;to the check panel E30 (pin 14) from pin 3 of connectorA;to the rev counter E15 (pin 10 of connector B)from pin 3 of connector B.
