The vehicle climate control system is achieved through the duct/distributor unit and heater. The air conditioning system integrates the heater with the function of producing cold and dehumidified air achieved by switching on the compressor and the cooling system.The climate is controlled by means of three control knobs on the facia:the left knob controls the hot and cold air mixing flap;the right knob controls the opening of the flaps that regulate the distribution of air flows;the centre knob regulates the air ventilation at four different speeds;The recirculation button and the button for switching the air conditioning compressor on are located in the lower part of the controls.A special control unit manages the operation of the system by controlling:air distribution at the vents;fan speed (continuous variation);compressor engagement (air refrigeration circuit);air recirculation engagement;the MAX-DEF rapid defrosting function (which consists of a collection of measures which make it possible to demist both the windscreen and the rearscreen quickly);The control unit sets the above parameters so that temperature of the passenger compartment is adjusted to the desired temperature.Depending on the set requirements, the control unit establishes the inlet speed for the air into the passenger compartment via the engine fan and the temperature by means of a mixture actuator; the distribution of the flows is also set by another actuator and, lastly, the interior air/exterior air recirculation function by a final actuator.If the conditions require, the control unit also switches on the air cooling and dehumidification circuit, activating the air conditioning compressor.For more details.767The vehicle speed signal arrives via the CAN and is used by the climate control system control unit to filter the outside temperature and compensate for the ventilation and dynamic air intake depending on the speed of the vehicle.The Body Computer continuously acquires the "battery voltage" signal to compare it with a limit figure: if the battery voltage measured is below the level, it intervenes via the CAN sending a signal to disable a series of loads: including deactivating the fan operation.The climate control system control unit receives a power supply from an ignition-operated line protected by a fuse in the junction unit under the dashboard; the fan receives a supply from a line protected by a specific fuse in the engine compartment junction unit.

The climate control system control unit M70receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT/A) at pin 3 from the line protected by fuse F31 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2.''; receives a direct supply at pin 2 from the line protected by fuse F39 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2.Pin 1 of M70is earthed.The recirculation actuator N82is operated by control unit M70from pins 14, 15, 16 and 17.The mixture actuator N81is operated by control unit M70from pins 23, 24, 25 and 26.The distribution actuator N80is operated by control unit M70from pins 19, 20, 21 and 22.An electronic governor M72activates the fan N85 on an earth command at different speeds: it receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT/A) from the line protected by fuse F31 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2it receives a control unit input control signal from pin 10 and provides a feedback signal to pin 18 of M70.The fan N85receives a direct supply from the line protected by fuse F5 of the engine compartment junction unit B11.Pin 11 of M70controls the engagement of the compressorControl unit M70 is connected, via the CAN line, from pins 12 and 13 to the Body Computer M1 and to node H44, exchanging the following signals:speedometer signal;windscreen washer engagement signal for activating recirculation;windows and sun roof closing command;battery voltage signal;heated rear windscreen on signal.
