DESCRIPTION - ENGINE COOLING - Fiat 500 1.2 8v
The engine radiator cooling system consists of a fan operated at a single speed corresponding to a certain engine coolant temperature level.The fan is operated by means of a dedicated relay located in the engine compartment junction unit.The supply line for the fan is protected by a dedicated fuse, located in the engine compartment junction unit.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - ENGINE COOLING - Fiat 500 1.2 8v
Relay T06 of the engine compartment junction unit B001 manages the engagement of the fan N011 depending on the temperature of the engine coolant.The coil for relay T06 is connected directly to the battery A001 (connector E) via pin 79 connector A of B001, whilst the power contact is protected by fuse F06 of B001.Engine coolant sensor/sender unit K036 receives a reference earth from pin 36 of connector B of engine control unit M010 and sends a signal proportional to engine coolant temperature to pin 45 of the control unit.The coil for relay T06 (pin 28 of connector B of B001) is energized by an earth signal coming from pin 63 of connector A of control unit M010; when the dedicated contact closes the power supply reaches the fan N011 via pin 29 of connector B of B001. The latter is also connected to the fan earth C045.
