The front interior light includes two courtesy lights with two control switches; the rear interior light, on the other hand, has only one courtesy light.The control switches can be used to select the following operating modes for the front courtesy light:with the left switch in the centre position: the lights go on/off when the doors are opened/closed;with the left switched pushed towards the left: the lights are constantly off;with theleft switched pushed towards the right: the lights are constantly on;With the courtesy light off, the right switch can be used to switch on the left or the right light, individually, according to the position of the actual switch.Some models also have two different timing systems in order to make it easier to get into and out of the car.The courtesy lights come on when entering the vehicle as follows:when the front doors are opened for 15 seconds;when a door is closed (within three minutes) for seven seconds.In every case, the timing is interrupted when the ignition is switched ON.As far as the timing of the courtesy lights on leaving the vehicle is concerned (removal of the ignition key), the switching on follows this logic:within two minutes of the engine being switched off for three minutes;when a door is closed (within three minutes) for seven seconds.The timing ends automatically when the doors are locked.

The supply for the front courtesy light G10 reaches pin 2 via the body computer M01. The supply and the time delay are managed through an operating logic based on the input signals at connector A of the body computer coming from:the front courtesy light G10 (pin 3) and entering at pin 21;from the left front door lock geared motor switch N50 at pin 8;from the left front door lock geared motor switch N51 at pin 25;from the left D196 and right D197 sliding side door couplings and from the rear swing door switch I21 (for the version with the rocker tailgate, from the boot opening switch I11) at pins 16 and 26;The supply for the body computer M01 is both controlled by the ignition and direct to pin 11 of connector E and pin A of connector C of the junction unit under the dashboard B02 . There is a protective fuse F1 for the direct supply located in the engine compartment junction unit B01 .Pins 8 and 9 connector D of the body computer are connected to earth.The body computer manages the supply for the rear courtesy light G20 and the supply for the luggage compartment light (]) at pin 33 connector A.The rear courtesy light G20 is connected at pin 3:to the tailgate lock I21 at pin 3; (pin 1 of I11 );to the left sliding side door coupling D196 at pin 3;to the right sliding side door coupling D197 at pin 3;to the body computer at pins 16 and 26 of connector A.Both courtesy lights are earthed at pin 1.
