Description - REV COUNTER INSTRUMENT - Fiat DUCATO 2.0 16V da 03/05
The rev counter is an integral function of the instrument panel. A signal from the engine rpm sensor is sent to the engine control unit, which sends it in turn to the instrument panel. The power supply to the instrument panel is supplied from the control panel. The entire system is protected by dedicated fuses housed in the engine bay and under-facia junction units.
Operational Description - REV COUNTER INSTRUMENT - Fiat DUCATO 2.0 16V da 03/05
The engine rpm sensor K046 sends its own signal to the engine management control unit M010, at pins 99 and 100 of connector B (for the 2.0 petrol versions the signal reaches the engine management control unit at pins B1 and B2 connector C). The control unit, in turn, sends this signal, from connector A pin 47 (pin J2 connector A for the 2.0 petrol versions) to the instrument panel E050 - pin 17 connector D. The control panel receives power from control panel H090, at pin 10 of connector D. Control panel H090 receives power directly from the battery at connector B pin 17, via a line protected by fuse F53 and F01, housed in under-facia junction unit B002 and engine bay control unit B001 respectively.
