The engine control unit consists of a fan operated by the engine management unit in accordance with parameters supplied by the coolant sensor.Fan operation is governed by a dedicated relay located in the engine bay junction unit.lThe fan supply line and relay excitation circuit is protected by a dedicated fuse located in the above control unit that protects many other ignition-operated services.The fan can therefore only be activated with the key ON.
Operational Description - ENGINE COOLING - Fiat DUCATO 2.0 16V da 03/05
The power supply to engine fan N011 is governed by relays T06 housed in engine bay junction unit B001. The relay supply line, direct from the battery, is protected by fuses F06, also housed in the control unit.On the basis of data supplied by engine coolant temperature sensor K036, engine management unit M010 excites the relay coil via a negative signal and thus supplies the fan with power.
