Description - ENGINE COOLING - Fiat DUCATO 2.0 JTD 8V fino a 02/05
The engine control unit consists of two fans operated by the engine management unit in accordance with parameters supplied by the engine coolant sensor.Fan operation is governed by two dedicated relays located in the engine bay junction unit.The fan supply line and relay excitation circuit is protected by a dedicated fuse located in the above control unit that protects many other ignition-operated services.The fans can therefore only be activated with the key ON.
Operational Description - ENGINE COOLING - Fiat DUCATO 2.0 JTD 8V fino a 02/05
The power supplies to engine fans N011 and N012 are governed by relays T06 and T07, housed in engine bay junction unit B001. The relay supply line, direct from the battery, is protected by fuses F06 and F07, also housed in the control unit.On the basis of data supplied by engine coolant temperature sensor K036, engine management unit M001 excites the relay coil via a negative signal and thus supplies the fans with power.Engine management unit M010 controls the high speed via pin 19 of connector A to operate fan N011. The low speed is controlled via pin 20 of the same connector to operate fan N012.
