DESCRIPTION - ELECTRIC REAR WINDOWS - Fiat GRANDE PUNTO 1.3 Multijet
The electric windows in the rear doors are activated using the switches in the actual doors and the driver''s front door. The Body Computer controls the operation of the rear window motors. The window motors are controlled automatically, in accordance with the following strategy:- if the button is pressed is between 60 and 300 milliseconds, operation is manual. the glass goes up/down only with the key pressed;- f the key is pressed for longer than 300 milliseconds, operation is automatic: even if the button is released, the glass continues to move up/down until the end of travel position is reached or until the intervention of the anti-pinch safety system;- pressing the button again whilst the window is moving stops it in the position it is in;- if the button is pressed for less than 60 milliseconds, this is ignored (it is treated as an accidental knock). The electronic circuit inside the motor manages the antipinch function: i.e. it acquires information about the possible presence of an obstacle during window closure (rising); the antipinch function is performed by a Hall effect sensor that senses overloads on the window motor; the action threshold is set when the force of the obstacle encountered along the window travel (e.g. a finger, a hand) exceeds 7/8 kg.In addition, if a fault is detected, the control unit inhibits the automatic raising operation only allowing it in steps of 500ms each time the button is pressed. The electric window function operates only with the ignition on, with the following exception: after key-off, the windows may be operated for a period of 3 minutes. When this period has elapsed, the system cannot receive new commands. If opening of one of the doors is detected during the timed period, no new commands are received but any commands received before door opening are completed. If one of the doors is already open at key off, any commands received before door opening are completed. The rear control lock (protection) is operated by means of a LOCK key among the driver''s controls: the locking status is indicated by an LED beside the key lighting up and the rear control buttons are not lit up. The electric windows cannot be operated using any of the buttons when the lock function is activated.the windows are automatically opened or closed through the special prolonged (more than 2 seconds) command sent by the remote control button.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - ELECTRIC REAR WINDOWS - Fiat GRANDE PUNTO 1.3 Multijet
Body Computer M1 - pin 20 of connector E - supplies via the same strategy control unit H44, pin 1; this power supply also turns on the lighting leds.Similarly, pin 11 of connector A of M1 supplies motors N65 (left) and N66 (right), pin 3, via the same strategy.Body Computer M1 - connector G - is supplied directly by the battery via a line protected by maxifuse F2 of engine compartment control unit B1; it is supplied with an ignition-operated supply (INT) at pin 32 of connector D; pin 10 of connector H of M1 supplies the Body Computer with a reference earth.Unit H44 contains the controls for the rear windows that control motors N65 (left) and N66 (right).Motors N65 and N66 receive a power supply - pin 6 - from a line protected by engine compartment control unit B45 fuses F81 and F64 respectively.Similarly, rear door controls H53 and H54 control motors N65 (left)and N66 (right) respectively. When the LOCK key is pressed, the power supply is not passed on to rear controls H53 and H54, which are thus inactive. The locking signals from the aerial-receiver of remote control unit P93, connected to pins 1 and 2 of connector K of M1, also control the closure of the rear windows, if open.
