DescriptionThe door mirrors are adjustable electrically in both directions by means of a joystick; located in the door controls, driver's side: a slide switch selects the right or left mirror. It is possible to start the adjustment of the mirror selected within 60 seconds of pressing one of the two 'mirror selection' buttons. The control for the two electric motors is in each of the two mirrors: one motor allows the rotation of the mirror on a horizontal axis, the other on a vertical axis. The circuit is controlled in accordance with the control logic from the door control units with the power supply, protected by two dedicated fuses, controlled by the services relay for the junction unit under the dashboard: in this way the power supply is available both with the ignition ON and with the ignition OFF: during starting, this relay is temporarily deactivated, whilst with the ignition OFF, the Body Computer keeps the relay activated for 3 minutes, but deactivates it 30 seconds after one of the doors is opened. The driver's door control unit acquires the adjustment commands for both door mirrors. it manages the movement of the driver's mirror and transmits the commands for moving the passenger mirror, via the CAN, to the passenger door control unit which manages the passenger side mirror directly.
Functional description Door mirror motors P60 and P61 are controlled by driver door control unit M66 and passenger door control unit M67 , interconnected to one another and the body computer M1 via the CAN line. The services relay T13, located in the unit under the dashboard B2, supplies with the above-mentioned logic and controlled by the Body Computer M1 - pin 14 of connector F - the controls units on the driver side door M66 and passenger side door M67 - pin 8 of connector E , H44 - pin 8 of connector D, via two lines, protected by the fuses F47 and F48.Driver door control unit H44 contains a joystick and door mirror control switch whic control:selection of right - left mirror: signal at pin 30 of connector A of M66, vertical movement: signal at pin 28 of connector A of M66, horizontal movement: signal at pin 29 of connector A of M66 ,whilst pin 33 of connector A of M66 provides the reference earth. According to these requests, control units M66 and M67 control the motors of mirrors P60 and P61, from pin 4 of connector D (shared) and pins 3 and 5 (horizontal and vertical movement, respectively).
