DescriptionA sophisticated HI FI system with special speakers and an outside amplifier is available on request. The system has been developed ad hoc for the vehicle: the acoustic properties of the passenger compartment have been carefully studied so that the amplifier and the speakers are perfectly suited to the vehicle: the sound is excellent throughout the passenger compartment.Unlike the system fitted as standard, this system includes:specific midwoofer type speakers with separate tweeters, both front and rearrear subwoofer speaker with a high power built in amplifier in the special ventilated bassbox located in the luggage compartment. The other components (radio, aerial, etc.) are the same as those on the system fitted as standard. Functional description The radio P20 is supplied directly (4 of connector A) from the battery via the line of fuse F39 of the unit under the dashboard B2. Pins 1 and 3 of connector A receive the CAN line with which the radio P20 is connected to the Body Computer M1 and the other nodes of the system. Pin 8 of connector A is earthed. Pin 6 of connector A of P20 receives the supply for the dimmed lighting, coming from pin 12 of connector B of E502399217SeeE2530INSTRUMENT LIGHTING . The radio P20 is connected to the radio controls on the steering wheel in the steering wheel control unit M93 which is a node of the CAN 2401120SeeE1050CAN CONNECTION LINES .; the connection takes place via the clock spring D47 . The steering wheel control unit M93 receives an ignition-operated supply (INT) - pin 57 - via the line for the fuse F49 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2 . The aerial P25 is connected to the radio also via the specific coaxial cable. Connector E of P20 has the cable connected to the CD player P75 coming out of it. The amplifier P70 is supplied directly from the battery to pin 3 - through the line of fuse F54 of the additional fuse box B98 . pin 7 of amplifier P70 is earthed. Pin 8 of P70 is then connected via a specific line to the radio P20 pin 6 of connector C which provides a positive enablement signal for switching the amplifier on. The other signals coming out of the BOSE amplifier P70 control the speakers:1 and 4 left audio channels2 and 5 right audio channelsConnector B of P20 sends out cables carrying signals to the speakers:pins 5 and 6 to the left front speakerspins 3 and 4 to the right front loudspeakers P36 and P46 ;pins 7 and 8 to the left rear loudspeaker P30 and P47;pins 1 and 2 to the right rear loudspeaker P31 and P48. The subwoofer is located next to the bassbox containing the amplifier P70 and is directly connected to it.
