DescriptionThe car is equipped with numerous self-diagnostic electronic control units. When a tester (Examiner or other instrument) is connected to the control units, self-diagnostic data can be read (parameters, errors) or active testing can be carried out. All tester lines are connected to the EOBD (European On Board Diagnosis) connector in line with EC directive 98/69 - ISO standard J1962, centralised on the Body Computer - connector C of M1.The same connector carries out diagnostics on the nodes (control units) connected to the low transmission speed B-CAN network, while the high transmission speed C-CAN network dynamic power control network is diagnosed via a specific K line. The following are controlled via the B-CAN network:underdashboard control unit;instrument panel;door control units;radio controls on the steering wheel;radio assembly;climate control system control unit;Air Bag control unit;parking sensors control unit; For more details 2401120SeeE1050CAN CONNECTION LINESThe following are controlled directly via the individual K diagnostic lines:engine management unitABS control unit;electric steering control unit.
Functional description The centralised EOBD tester connector is built into Body Computer M1 connector C. it is supplied directly at pin 16 from a line protected by fuse F39 of underfacia control unit B2; Pins 4 and 5 are earthed. Pin 1 is connected to the ABS control unit 2399383SeeE7020ABS Pin 7 is connected to the engine management control unit M102399341SeeE5030PETROL ENGINE ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT via a K line or 2399345SeeE5050DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT . Pin 9 is connected to the power steering control unit M86 (pin 4 of connector B) SeeE7045 ELECTRIC STEERING . Pins 6 and 14 are connected to the B-CAN network: the junction unit under the dashboard B2, the instrument panel E50, the driver's side door control unit M66, the passenger side door control unit M67, the luggage compartment M63, the radio P20 and the controls on the steering wheel D47, the climate control system ECU M70, the Air Bag control unit M60 and the parking sensor control unit M84 are monitored and 'diagnosed' via this network SeeE1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES .
