DescriptionThe vehicle is equipped with a radio system that includes:radio supply cablesfront speakers and separate tweeters, located in the front pillarsrear speakersconnecting cables between radio and loudspeakersroof mounted aerial, controlled by a specific electronic deviceaerial coaxial cable.The following is also fitted, according to the trim level:RADIO with CC or CD.Standard CONNECT device (see2889324SeeE4091CONNECT)Radio with NAVIGATOR (see2889304SeeE4090NAVIGATOR)CONNECT device with NAVIGATOR (see2889304SeeE4090NAVIGATORand2889324SeeE4091CONNECT)Full radio specifications and operating instructions are given in the OWNER'S HANDBOOK.The main radio controls are 'duplicated' on the steering wheel, allowing the driver to operate the radio without taking their hands off the steering wheel.On versions with a Connect, an impedance adaptor is required for connecting the radio with the controls.A multi-pole cable connecting the radio to the CD player, located in the boot, may be fitted on request.The radio circuit is supplied both with the ignition key in the ON position and directly from the battery.The above two lines are protected by two fuses in the junction unit.In addition to the radio there is also a supply with the side lights on to light up the radio controls.
Functional description The radio P20 is supplied directly (pin 4 and of connector A) by the battery via the line for the maxifuse J/B1 for B5 and is protected by fuse F10 of the junction unit B1 . It receives a supply when the ignition is switched on (INT) (pin 7 of connector A) via the line for fuse F1 of the junction unit B1 . Pin 6 of connector A receives the supply with the side lights switched on via the line protected by fuse F2 located in the junction unit B12888812SeeE2010SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS . Pin 8 of connector A is earthed. Pin 5 of connector A is connected to the amplifier P25 which controls the supply for the aerial. The feeder P25 is then connected to the radio by means of the special aerial cable. Connector B sends out cables carrying signals to the speakers:pins 5 and 6 to the left front speakers P35 and P45 ;pins 3 and 4 to the right front speakerspins 7 and 8 to the left rear speakers P40 ;pins 1 and 2 for the right rear speakers P41 . The CD player P75 receives a supply from the battery via the line for fuse F10 of junction unit B1 and maxifuse J/B1 of B5 . The cable connected to CD player P75 comes out of connector E: the controls for the steering wheel also go from there via the clock spring D47 : a special impedance adapator P130 is needed for connecting the radio to the controls.
