DescriptionThe front interior light includes two courtesy lights with two control switches.With the left switch (A) it is possible to select the following two operating modes:centre position: both lights on when the front doors are open;left-hand position: both lights are off all the time;right-hand position: both lights are on at all times.With the right switch (B) is it only possible to switch on one of the lights (map reading light):left-hand position: left-hand light always on;right-hand position: right-hand light always on;central position: both lights always off.Both rear interior lights contain a courtesy light that operates in different modes according to the position of the lens, which operates an internal switch.neutral position: light comes on when the rear doors are open;positioned to one side: lights always off;positioned to the other side: lights always on.The courtesy light circuit is protected by a special junction unit fuse.
Functional description The supply for the front courtesy lights ( G10) and the rear courtesy lights (G25 and G26) arrives directly from the battery (maxifuse J/B1 for B5) through fuse F10of the junction unit B1. They are switched on with a direct earth signal (on permanently) to pin 1 of the respective courtesy lights, or through the go ahead - to pin 3 - due to the closing of the switches in the respective doors: I16 and I17 for the front doors; I18 and I19for the rear doors.
