Description - HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR - Fiat MULTIPLA 1.9 JTD 8V da 06/04


The headlight light beam can be adjusted directly from the driver's seat depending on the load. The correct headlamp alignment is quickly achieved in this way. The adjustment device takes the form of a motor fitted on both dipped beams. It is able to tilt the headlamps to lower the light beam if the car is particularly loaded and raise the lamps when the load reduces. A special knob located in the dashboard, to the right of the steering wheel, can be placed in four different positions: position 0 - up to three persons in the front seats;position 1 - six persons;position 2 - six persons plus load in the luggage compartment;position 3 - driver plus maximum permitted load all stowed in the luggage compartment.The device is enabled only with the dipped beams on.The headlamp alignment circuit is protectd by the dipped headlamp circuit fuses located in the junction unit.

The headlight alignment device H15 receives a supply at pin 2 - with the dipped headlights on - from a line coming from the steering column switch unit H5 : the supply is ignition operated (INT/A) for the line protected by fuse F5 from the junction unit B1 via a special relay J45 . Pin 4 of the device H15 is earthed, whilst a signal leaves pin 1 and reaches pin 7 of the headlights F10 (left) and F11 (right,produced by means of a resistive distributor which varies the output tension depending on which of the four positions is selected. The motors located in the headlights F10 (left) and F11 (right) are supplied at pins 3, pins 6 of F10 and F11 by the same line for the dipped headlights circuit, line protected by fuse F5 from the junction unit B1 . The device only works with the dipped beams on.
