DescriptionThe engine cooling system consists of an electric fan, operated by the engine control unit, in accordance with the parameters supplied by the coolant temperature sensor.The operation of the fan is controlled by a specific relay, located in the engine compartment junction unit.The fan supply line and the relay energisation circuit are protected by a specific fuse located in the engine compartment junction unit.
Functional description The engine fan N011 receives the direct battery supply from the line protected by the fuse F06, operated by the relay T06. Depending on the parameters received from the coolant temperature sensor K036, the engine control unit M010, via a negative signal, energises the relay T06, activating the fan. Via the CAN network See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES , the engine control unit M010 sends the coolant temperature information to the instrument panel E050, for managing the relevant temperature gauge housed in the panel (for further details SeeE4010 INSTRUMENT PANEL ).
