The luggage compartment junction unit checks the operation of the rear electric window motors directly.The commands from the driver''s door are transmitted via the CAN from the control unit in the door.The motors are operated either manually or automatically, depending on the trim level.Automatic operation takes place as follows:if the button is pressed is between 60 and 300 milliseconds, operation is manual. the glass goes up/down only with the key pressed;f the key is pressed for longer than 300 milliseconds, operation is automatic: even if the button is released, the glass continues to move up/down until the end of travel position is reached or until the intervention of the anti-crush safety system (if fitted);pressing the button again whilst the window is moving stops it in the position it is in;if the button is pressed for less than 60 milliseconds, this is ignored (it is treated as an accidental knock).
The luggage compartment control unit also acquired information concerning the presence of an obstacle whilst the window is closing (upwards movement) through the anti-crush seals: in such a case the travel of the glass stops immediately and is reversed: this occurs in both manual and automatic mode.The circuit is controlled by the services relay and protected by two fuses, all located in the junction unit under the dashboard.The movement takes place with the ignition ON or OFF.With the ignition ON it takes in accordance with the modes defined above; in addition during starting this relay is temporarily deactivated.If the ignition is switched OFF, the Body Computer keeps the relay activated for 3 minutes, but deactivates it immediately when one of the two front doors is opened.The movement is also disabled when the battery voltage is below 10 V.The driver''s front door control unit also manages the locking of the rear controls (protection) when the special LOCK button is pressed: the locking status is indicated by an LED in the back of the actual button lighting up and the rear control buttons are not lit up. The electric windows cannot be operated using any of the buttons when the lock function is activated.The windows are automatically opened or closed through the special prolonged (more than 3 seconds) command sent by the remote control button, if the ignition is OFF.The remote control receiver aerial is connected directly to the Body Computer which contains the actual electronics for the receiver.

The services relay T13, located in the junction unit under the dashboard B2, supplies the luggage compartment junction unit (which manages the rear electric windows) M63 pin A8 of connector A and pin B8 of connector B, with the logic described above and controlled by the Body Computer M1 pin 14 of connector F, via two lines protected by fuses F33and F34.The control unit M63 is connected via the CAN line to M66 and to the Body Computer M1.
