DescriptionThe front seats may be optionally fitted with a special heating system (consisting of two heater elements located in the cushion and squab): these heat the seat to ease the discomfort of entering a cold passenger compartment in very cold weather, e.g. when the car is left outside for long periods during winter.The heating device located in each seat consists of two resistors operated by a switch located on the outside of each seat.Once a certain temperature is reached, the heating action is automatically cut off by a thermal contact inside the device.An LED located in the actual switches itself indicates when the resistors are switched on.The seat heating operates only when the ignition is switched on.The seat heating circuit is controlled by a special relay and protected by two specific fuses located in the luggage compartment fuse box.
Functional description The heating supply arrives via relay T22 located in the luggage compartment fuse box B45 and is energized by the line controlled by the ignition (INT/A) for relay T12 protected by fuse F43, both housed in the junction unit under the dashboard B2 . Fuses F57 and F67 of B45 protect the supply circuit for the two seats: the supply for the two heaters O40 and O41 is via the switches I65 and I66 .
