Description - ELECTRIC FRONT WINDOWS - Fiat STILO 1.8 16v da 07/03 a 12/03


The door control units control the operation of the driver and passenger side front electric window motors.The driver and passenger side motors are controlled in both manual and automatic mode, acccording to the specification.Automatic operation takes place as follows:if the button is pressed is between 60 and 300 milliseconds, operation is manual. the glass goes up/down only with the key pressed;f the key is pressed for longer than 300 milliseconds, operation is automatic: even if the button is released, the glass continues to move up/down until the end of travel position is reached or until the intervention of the anti-crush safety system (if fitted);pressing the button again whilst the window is moving stops it in the position it is in;if the button is pressed for less than 60 milliseconds, this is ignored (it is treated as an accidental knock).The control unit on the door acquires information on the possible presence of an obstacle while the window is closing (up) via the anti-pinch seals: in this case, it immediately stops the glass and reverses the direction of motion: this occurs in both manual and automatic mode.The circuit is controlled by the services relay and protected by two fuses, all located in the junction unit under the dashboard.Movement takes place with the key ON and with the key OFF.With the key ON, it takes place as described above. During start-up, this relay is also temporarily deactivated.If the ignition is switched OFF, the Body Computer keeps the relay activated for 3 minutes, but deactivates it immediately when one of the two front doors is opened.Movement is also disabled when the battery voltage is lower than 10V.The windows are automatically opened or closed by means of a special extended (more than 3 seconds) command sent by the remote control button, if the key is OFF.The remote control receiver aerial is connected directly to the Body Computer which contains the actual electronics for the receiver..

Operational description - ELECTRIC FRONT WINDOWS - Fiat STILO 1.8 16v da 07/03 a 12/03


Service relay T13, located in the underfacia control unit B2 , supplies as described above under the control of the Body Computer M1 - pin 14 of connector F - the driver side door control unit M66 and the passenger side control unit M67 - pin 8 of connector D , via two lines, protected by fuses F47 and F48.Control units M66 and M67 , are connected via a CAN line to one another and to the Body Computer M1 .Unit H44 contains the driver and passenger side window controls:: dedicated analogue signals are sent to pins 31 and 32 of connector A of M66 (pin 33 supplies a reference earth)..Control unit M66 directly controls motor N60 (drive side) and - via control unit M67 - motor N61 (passenger side).Similarly, the passenger side front door control H50 sends an analogue signal to control unit M67 pin 32 (pin 33 supplies a reference earth), which drives motor N61 .Pins 2 and 5 of connector C of M66 and M67 also receive signals from the anti-pinch sensors K22 and K23 .The RF aerial-receiver P93 sends the Body Computer M1 the opening/closing signal for the doors and for the windows and the sun roof as well, connecting to pins 21 and 31 of connector B..
