DescriptionThe vehicle is equipped with two reversing lights located in the centre section of the rear light clusters (on the boot). They are operated each time reverse gear is engaged through the special switch on the outside of the gearbox casing. The reversing light circuit is supplied with the ignition key in the ON position (INT/A) and is protected by a special fuse in the underdashboard control unit. The signal that the reversing light has been switched on is managed by the Body Computer which forwards this information to the steering column switch unit for the automatic operation of the rearscreen wiper 3360820SeeE3021REAR WINDOW WASH/WIPE and, via the CAN, to the radio-telephone-navigator connector 3360938SeeE4091CONNECT and to the parking sensor control unit. 3360908SeeE3090PARKING SENSOR
Functional description The switch for the reversing lights I20 is supplied when the ignition is switched on (INT/A) from the line protected by fuse F31for the junction unit B2 under the facia. When reverse gear is engaged, the switch closes and send the supply to the reversing light in the rear light clusters on the boot F35 (left) F36 (right) directly via the control unit B2 - pins 7 and 8 connector D. The reversing light activation signal is sent to the Body Computer M1 - pin 3 of connector F - and from there to the steering column switch unit H5 to turn on the rear wiper 3360820SeeE3021REAR WINDOW WASH/WIPE automatically; it is also sent, via the CAN line, to the parking sensor control unit M843360908SeeE3090PARKING SENSOR e navigator connector 3360938SeeE4091CONNECT .
