The engine radiator and air conditioner condenser cooling system consists of one fan operated at two different speeds:the first speed is activated by the engine management control unit at a first temperature level of the engine coolant or at a certain air conditioner coolant pressure;The second speed cuts in at a higher temperature or pressure threshold.The fan is managed by an electronic control unit which receives a PWM signal from the engine management control unit and manages the fan operation.The fan supply line is protected by a specific fuse, located in the engine compartment unit; another fuse - again in the engine compartment unit - protects the supply to the control electronics.

Activation of the radiator fan N11 is managed directly by the electronic circuit M150 located on the actual radiator:the power supply reaches connector A from a line protected by fuse F6 of engine bay control unit B1 ;Ignition-operated power supply (15/54) reaches pin 1 of connector C from the ignition-operated line (15/54) protected by fuse F16 of engine bay control unit B1 ;the control signal (earth) - to pin 2 of connector C - comes from engine bay control unit M10 , pin 20 of connector A.If the engine coolant temperature reaches a certain temperature stage, or the fan linear sensor K120 signals to the control unit M10 - pin 42 of connector A - that a certain pressure stage has been reached, then the control unit M10 sends a signal - from pin 14 of connector A - to pin 2 of connector C of M150 which operates the fan N11 .Linear sensor K120 receives a power supply and reference earth from the engine management control unit M10 , pins 40 and 74 of connector A.
