Description - BOOT AND FUEL FLAP OPENING - Fiat STILO 1.9 JTD 8v Fino a 04/2005


The boot opening geared motor (boot "release") is operated by:turning the key in its lock;a button on the remote control.The unlocked boot is opened by means of a handle above the number plateA third key on the remote control releases the boot when it is pressed for longer than 2 seconds: the boot is released and lifts up slightly.The operation is indicated by the turn signals flashing twice.When reclosed, the boot returns to its pre-opening status.The rear window opening gear motor is operated by a handle located beneath the number plate.This operating strategy is managed directly by the Body Computer and is exactly the same as the boot opening strategy.The dedicated rear window strategy also ensures that:the function is not enabled if vehicle speed is higher than 10 km/h;rear window opening prevents simultaneous opening of the boot;rear wiper operation is inhibited with the rear window open.A special setup on the instrument panel can be used to select whether the boot/rear window:is controlled by the central locking: i.e. boot status is the same as door status.is independent: the boot is locked when the doors are locked, whilst it can be unlocked independently of the unlocking of the doors.The Body Computer manages this operating strategy directly.The remote control receiver aerial is connected directly to the Body Computer which contains the actual electronics for the receiver..768fuel flap opening is managed by a strategy similar to that of the driver''s door. Operational description - BOOT AND FUEL FLAP OPENING - Fiat STILO 1.9 JTD 8v Fino a 04/2005


The supply line of the boot and opening rear window release function inside the Body Computer M1 - pin 1 of connector F - , is protected by fuse F38 of the underfacia control unit B2 ; it is also connected to a dedicated earth: pin 20 of connector F.Body Computer M1 receives signals from aerial-receiver P93 , that is connected to pins 21 and 31 of connector A..A "boot incorrectly closed" signal is sent from switch I11 , which is conncted to pin 24 of connector E (the same switch turns on the boot light via a separate contact.The "boot opening from handle" signal is sent from a switch located in the handle I33 , which is connected to pin 35 of connector E of the Body Computer M1 ; the handle opening signal is also used by the Passive Entry function.In accordance with the control strategy shown, the Body Computer M1 implements the boot release function - pin 11 of connector F - via underfacia control unit B2 , pin 18 of connector D - to control the operation of the boot lock gear motor N57.The rear window opening from handle signal is sent from a switch located in unit F52 , which is connected to pin 34 of connector E of the Body Computer M1 .In accordance with the control strategy shown, the Body Computer M1 implements the boot release function - pin 10 of connector F - via underfacia control unit B2 , pin 116 of connector D - to control the operation of the boot lock gear motor N67.
