The vehicle can be fitted with a homologated tow hook for caravans or trailers in general.This device must meet current regulations and be installed in accordance with the instructions in the installation kit.This installation kit includes the tow hook and also an electronic control unit for the exterior trailer lighting plus specific wiring for connecting the control unit to the vehicle tail-lights and a specific connection on the vehicle located in the boot on the right side.767
Trailer service control unit M181 is supplied:- at pin 2 of connector A, by a line protectd by fuse MF3 located inside maxifuse box B005 (pin 1 connector C);- at pins 3, 6 and 4 of connector B, from body computer node M001 (pins 11 and 4 connector B and pin 4 connector F respectively): the first of the three lines is protected by fuse F12.A line protected by fuse B070 leaves pin 4 of control unit M181 for pin 1 of connector B of trailer wiring connection D073.Control unit M181 communicates (pins 1 and 2 connector B) with body computer node M001 (pins 37 and 39 connector I respectively), which in turn forwards (pins 36 and 38 connector I) any information to the parking sensor control unit. This information is sent via the CAN network.Pin 1 of connector C of control unit M181 is connected to the same pins and connector of trailer connection D073. Pins 15, 12, 11, 8, 16, 7, 6, 5, 4, 2 of connector B of M181 are also connected to the same connection; pins 14 and 13 are bypassed to pins 12 and 11 respectively, while pin 3 is connected to earth 096.
