The adjustment of the headlamp light beam according to the load is carried out by means of a special device (located inside the front light cluster) which tilts it appropriately, lowering the light beam if the vehicle is heavily laden and raising it if the load lessens.A rotary selector on the left side of the dashboard allows the headlights to be adjusted from positions 0 to 3:position 0 - one or two persons in the front seats, full fuel tank, fully equipped (vehicle in running order);position 1 - five persons;position 2 - five persons with luggage compartment full;position 3 - seven or eight persons with luggage compartment full, or driver and maximum load, all in the luggage compartment.The device is enabled only with the dipped beams on.A special relay, located in the body computer, supplies the adjustment motors incorporated inside the headlights.768on versions with gas discharge headlamps, the light beam is adjusted automatically and there is no rotary selector on the left side

Operational Description - HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR - Fiat ULYSSE 2.2 16V JTD fino a 04/03

Headlamp alignment adjustment is managed by a dedicated selector H015. Pin 2 receives a supply from the battery via fuse F12 located in the body computer node M001. This supply is only provided if the dipped headlamps are switched on, via the relay, also located in the body computer node M001.The relay is controlled by the body computer node M001 as soon as the dipped headlamps are switched on < R1 > . Pin 3 of H015 is earthed, whilst a variable voltage signals is sent from pin 3 to pin 7 of the front light clusters F010 and F011.The correction motors inside the headlamps contain a transducer that estabilishes the travel to be completed on the basis of adjustment signal voltage. The motors receive a power supply from pin 9 of the front light clusters F010 and F011 from the line protected by fuse F12 of the body computer node M001. The dipped headlamps are connected at pin 1 of the front light clusters F010 and F011.
