The adjustment of the light beam for the headlamps depending on the load is produced using the adjustment device located directly on the headlamps. This device tilts the light beam in order to lower it if the vehicle is particularly laden or to raise it if the load lessens.A rotary selector on the left side of the dashboard allows the headlights to be adjusted in four positions:- position 0 - one or two persons in the front seats, full fuel tank, fully equipped (vehicle in running order);- position 1 - five persons;- position 2 - five persons with luggage compartment laden;- position 3 - seven or eight persons with luggage compartment laden, or driver and maximum load, all in the luggage compartment.768 768
Headlamp alignment adjustment is managed by a dedicated selector H015. Pin 2 of H015 (like pin 9 of the front light clusters F010 and F011) receive a power supply from pin 2 of connector B of the Body computer node M001. This power supply is only provided with the dipped headlamps on.Pin 3 of H015 is earthed together with pin 8 of connector B of the Body computer node M001, whilst a variable voltage signal is sent from pin 1 to pin 7 of the left front light cluster F010 and the right front light cluster F011.The headlamp alignment correction motors inside the front light clusters contain a transducer that estabilishes the travel to be completed on the basis of adjustment signal voltage. The dipped headlamps are connected to pin 1 of the front light clusters F010 and F011, supplied from pins 25 and 26 respectively of connector G of the engine compartment junction unit B001.
