Description - POWER SUPPLY - Fiat ULYSSE 2.2 16V JTD fino a 04/03
The electrical system is designed to increase the car''s safety level and prevent the possibility of fires and other consequences of electrical malfunctions. State-of-the-art connectors have been introduced to rule out the possibility of many connection defects.Power is distributed via the junction units and/or fuses boxes. These are connected to control elements (relays and static actuators) to ensure maximum electrical protection and minimum complexity. The main safety solutions adoptd are as follows:power supplies protected by maxifuses to cut off the electrical system, in the case of short circuit, immediately downstream of the battery (see detail below);the layout of the whole system is optimised to reduce the risk of damage in the case of faults or accidents.wiring installation has been optimised to reduced incorrect positioning and noise due to vibrations;all wires offer high resistance to abrasionthe wires in the engine are of special type , resistant to high temperature and protected with piping sheaths.wires in the passenger compartment are protected by corrugated pipes and felted tapes to reduce noise levelsthe main connections coem with secondary lock terminals and lever locks to prevent terminal deformation.
All systems and electrical equipment are supplied by the battery at a voltage of 12V.The battery is recharged by the alternator during engine operationSome of the power supply lines are protected by MAXIFUSES grouped together in a casing located next to the battery and directly connected to it.Other fuses are grouped together in an additional fuse box, located near the maxifuses. The other fuses (MAXI and "normal") and the various relay feeds are located in the engine compartment junction unit and directly inside the body computer. Some circuits are continuously supplied, even with the car at a standstill and the key out because they are connected directly to the battery.Other circuits are supplied by turning the ignition key to various positions:insert the key and turn it through one click to position M. This supplies numerous circuits that are described as ignition-operatedthe second position - D - supplies the starter motor.
767the lines that distribute power to the various appliances are represented by wiring diagrams for the various functions and systems. This general diagram shows all the lines as they leave the battery and maxifuse box. Refer to specific diagrams for more detail.
Operational Description - POWER SUPPLY - Fiat ULYSSE 2.2 16V JTD fino a 04/03
All electrical systems and circuits are supplied by battery A001.The power supply to the various devices is managed by engine bay junction units B001 and body computer node M001.Several MAXIFUSES are located in the body computer node M001:MF04 and MF05 which supply the engine compartment junction unit B001, at pins 1 and 2 of connector E;MF07 which supplies the ignition switch H001;MF01 and MF06 which supply the engine fans;MF02 and MF03 which supply the ABS/ESP control unit;MF08 which supplies the climate control system control unit.
Some of the optional system power supply lines are protected by MAXIFUSES grouped together in a casing B005 located next to the battery and directly connected to it:MF1 and MF2 supply the sliding side door node M171.MF3 supplies the additional heater control unit.
Other fuses are grouped together in an additional fuse box B098:F32 and F33 supply the seat adjustment circuits.F34 and F35 supply the sun roof adjustment circuits;F36 and F37 supply the seat heating circuits;F39 and F40 supply the current socket circuits;F38 supplies the child lock circuit.
The ignition switch H001 receives a direct battery supply at pin 1 connector A for MAXIFUSE MF07 of the body computer M001.The ignition-operated supply (key in position M) is provided:at pins 1 and 2 of connector B; at the engine compartment junction unit B001, at pins 1 and 2 of connector C;from pin 2 connector A to the body computer node M001, pin 9 of connector C;from the same pin 2 connector A to the brake pedal switch I030.
The starter motor A020 is supplied from pin 3 connector A of H001 (key in position D).Engine bay junction unit B001 and body computer node M001 both contain fuses and relays that protect the supply lines to connected devices.BATTERY
