The electrical system is designed to increase the car''s safety level and prevent the possibility of fires and other consequences of electrical malfunctions. State-of-the-art connectors have been introduced to rule out the possibility of many connection defects.Power is distributed via the junction units and/or fuses boxes. These are connected to control elements (relays and static actuators) to ensure maximum electrical protection and minimum complexity.The main safety solutions adoptd are as follows:- power supplies protected by maxifuses to cut off the electrical system, in the case of short circuit; they are positioned just downstream of the battery;- the layout of the entire system is designed to reduce damage in the case of a failure or accident;- the routing of the actual cables is designed to reduce noise due to vibrations or incorrect positioning;- all wires offer high resistance to abrasion;- the wires in the engine compartment are resistant to high temperatures and protected with outer casings or piping;- the main connections come with secondary lock terminals and lever locks to prevent terminal deformation.All systems and electrical equipment are supplied by the battery at a voltage of 12 [V].The battery is recharged by the alternator during engine operationSome of the supply lines are protected by MAXIFUSES. These fuses are grouped together in a box located next to the battery and are connected directly to it.Other fuses are grouped together in an additional fuse box, located near the MAXIFUSES.The other fuses and the various relay feeds are located in the engine compartment junction unit and directly inside the body computer.Some circuits receive a continuous power supply even with the vehicle stationary and the key switched off.Other circuits are supplied by turning the ignition key to various positions:- at the first turn, the key is in position M and the numerous "ignition-controlled" circuits are supplied;- at the second turn (position D) the starter motor is supplied.767The lines that distribute power to the various appliances are represented by wiring diagrams for the various functions and systems. This general diagram shows all the lines as they leave the battery and maxifuse box. Refer to specific diagrams for more detail.

All electrical systems and circuits are supplied by battery A001.The different power supplies to the various devices is managed by engine bay junction units B001 and body computer node M001.Several MAXIFUSES are located in the engine compartment junction unit B001:- MF01 (pin 1 connector D) supplies the climate control system control unit;- MF02 (pin 2 connector D) supplies the ABS/ESP control unit;- MF03 (pin 3 connector D) supplies the ESP control unit;- MF04 and MF05 (pins 4 and 5 connector D) supply the Body computer node M001 (pins 1 and 2 connector A respectively).Some of the optional system power supply lines are protected by MAXIFUSES grouped together in junction unit B005 located next to the battery and directly connected to it:- MF01 (pin 1 connector B) supplies the central locking system;- MF02 (pin 2 connector B) supplies the sliding side door system.There is an additional maxifuse box B006:- MF1 and MF4 (pin 1 connector B and pins 2 connector C) supply the engine cooling fans;- MF3 (pin 2 connector B) supplies the starting system;- MF6 (pin 2 connector D) supplies the engine electronic management system;Other fuses are grouped together in an additional fuse box B098:- F40 and F39 (pins G40 and G39 connector B) supply the current socket circuits;- F38 (pin G38 connector B) supplies the main beam lights system;- F37 and F36 (pins G37 and G36 connector B) supply the seat heating circuits;- F32 and F33 (pins G32 and G33 connector B) supply the seat adjustment circuits;- F34 and F35 (pins G34 and G35 connector B) supply the sun roof adjustment circuits;- F31 (pin G31) provides the power signal to the brake pedal I030.Lastly, the ignition switch H001 is connected (pins 3, 1, 2) to the Body computer node M001 Pins 6 and 4 connector G and pin 5 connector D respectively).
