The simultaneous operation of the door locks takes place via:the key;the door handles;the interior button;the remote control.The remote control incorporated in the key has 2 buttons:one for activating the central locking (locking) command, switching on the alarm and the location function;one for activating the release of the central locking and switching off the alarm.Pressing the locking button for a while activates the so-called "location" function: all the interior courtesy lights, together with the direction indicators, come on for a few seconds.Pressing the unlocking button a second time activates the so-called "passenger compartment ventilation" function: the front and rear side windows open completely to allow the introduction of outside air into the passenger compartment.The central locking button, located near the front courtesy light, makes it possible to lock and unlock all the doors from the inside. In addition, the handles on each of the four doors allow them to be opened from the inside and when the handle on any of the doors is operated, this operation unlocks all the other doors including the tailgate.The tailgate is fitted with a 2 position electric lock:locked position (deactivated position);"released" position (activated position).The tailgate lock does not have a lock barrel, the opening of the tailgate is controlled by a button next to the number plate. This outer button is deactivated if the vehicle is locked, whilst it is activated with the ignition ON or 1 minute after the key has been turned to the S position.The operation of the locks is managed by the Body Computer which controls the effective state of the locks by means of signals which arrive from the switches in the actual locks (these signals are also used for the lights delay timer): in this way, the "locking" command is only carried out if all the doors are properly shut and the locks unlocked; conversely, the "unlocking" command is only carried out if the locks are locked;The remote control receiver aerial is incoropated in the steering column switch unit (steering wheel node); the activation and/or deactivation information is sent to the Body Computer via the CAN.767The automatic locking of the doors with the vehicle moving takes place, if the function is activated, when the speed of the vehicle reaches 10 km/h; pressing the central locking button briefly (< 3 secs.) deactivates the automatic locking function until it is next switched off.The switching off and activation of the automatic locking function whilst driving can be activated by pressing the central locking button for a while.The tailgate lock is always activated and cannot be deactivated.767In the case of an accident, the body computer receives the Air Bag activation information from the Air Bag control unit and controls the opening of all the doors.In this respect,

The central locking is managed by the body computer node M001.The steering wheel node control unit M093 receives the door open/closed signal from the remote control.The (door opening or closing) command is transmitted, via the CAN, from the steering wheel node control unit M093 (pins 1 and 3 connector A) to the Body computer node M001 (pins 5 and 3 connector G respectively); in addition, the latter (pin 11 connector B and pin 1 connector G) provide it with a power supply through two lines (pin 5 connector A and pin 4 connector D respectively) of which only the second is protected by fuse F04.The command for opening/closing the doors can also be sent by the internal switch I110.Pressing the special switch on unit I110 (pin 6) sends an earth signal indicating that the locks have been locked/unlocked from pin 6 to the body computer node M001 (pin 28 connector I). The body computer M001 (pin 9 connector D and pin 12 connector F) also provide a power supply for unit I110 (pins 1 and 4 respectively).The electric motors for the rear locks N055, N056 (pins 3, 1) and those for the front locks N050, N051 (pins 5, 3) receive a power supply from the Body computer node M001 (pins 13 and 15 connector F respectively), which operates the opening or closing of the doors depending on the command received.The front locks N050, N051 communicate the following to the body computer M001:- from pin 4, the locked/unlocked door status, to pins 27 and 29 respectively of connector L;- from pin 6, the open/closed door status, to pins 4 and 5 respectively of connector L;The opening of the sliding side doors is signalled (pin 1) by the specific switches I018 (left) and I019 (right) to the body computer M001 (pins 34 and 33 connector L respectively).The electric boot lock N057, in addition to be controlled (pin 1) by the body computer M001 (pin 35 connector I), sends (pin 3) a boot lid closing signal (pin 13 connector L).The signal coming from the boot lid switch I011 (pin 1) is also transmitted to the Body computer node M001 (pin 10 connector I).
