DescriptionThe electric windows in the front doorsare operated through the switches in the handles in the front driver'sdoor (both windows) and the front passenger door (passenger side only). The operation is manual: the glass onlygoes up/down when the button is pressed. Both windows can only beoperated when the ignition is ON.The control switch symbols are lit whenthe key is turned to MAR.The circuit is controlled by the servicesrelay and protected by two fuses, all located in the unit underthe dashboard.Movement takes place whether the ignitionin ON or OFF.With the ignition on, it takes place asdescribed above; in addition during starting, this relay is temporarilydeactivated. When the ignition is off, the Body Computerkeeps the relay activated - which also supplies the door mirrors- for 3 minutes, but deactivates it immediately when one of the twofront doors is opened.Movement is also disabled when the batteryvoltage is below 10 V.
Functional description The services relay T13, located in theunit under the dashboard B2, supplies with the above-mentioned logicand controlled by the Body Computer M1 - pin 14 of connector F -the switches H44 (electric windows switch in driver's door) andH50 (electric window switch in passenger door) via two lines, protectedby the fuses F47 and F48. The same lines supply the LEDs thatlight up the actual switches. When the switches are operated a supplyand earth are sent to the driver's electric window motor N60or to the passenger one N61; reversing the signals accordingto the contact which closes, determines the direction of rotationof the motor. The aerial-receivier P93 sends theBody Computer M1 the signal to open/close the doors and alsowindows and sunroof, by connecting to pins 21 and 31 of connectorB 2427981SeeE3040CENTRAL LOCKING .
