DescriptionWhen the boot is opened the luggage compartment light is turnedon which goes out when the boot is closed. The Body Computer continuously acquiresthe 'battery voltage' signal and compares it with a limit ('SBMT'function): if the battery voltage level goes below this limit, itintervenes through the CAN sending a signal to disable a seriesof loads: these include the front courtesy light; this functionis activated with the key in the OFF position; this function alsodeactivates loads after 15 minutes with the key in the OFF position.
Functional description The boot open switch I11 sends an earth signal, when the bootis open, to pin 36 of connector E of M1 to switch on the courtesylight G40. On the basis of the control logic describedpreviously, the Body Computer M1 supplies the boot courtesy lightG40 from pin 23 of connector E. The 'low battery voltage' signal which switchesoff the courtesy lights if they are on, reaches the Body Computer M1 viathe CAN 2429872SeeE1050CAN CONNECTION LINES line.
