DescriptionThe vehicle has numerous light sources for optimum lighting ofthe instruments and the controls.Some of these are lit up when the ignitionis ON (INT), others with the side lights on and on others the intensityvaries according to a dimmer logic managed by the Body Computer.The following controls light up whenthe ignition is turned ON (INT):control panel on the tunnel.controls in the centre of the dashboard.controls on the front courtesy lightsThe Body Computer manages the lightingof the following using the go ahead signals with the ignition ON(INT) and the side lights:current socket;climate control system controls;radioThe Body Computer (directly or viathe door control units) manages the dimmer for the:instrument panel and displays.switches in the door;The light intensity can be adjusted to differentlevels, using an outside button, located in the left panel. thereare 8 different settings.The intensity level is set by pressing the'MODE +' and 'MODE -' buttons and is shown on the instrument panel;the setting is also memorized and used later on.767- the light intensity cannot,however, be reduced to zero.The light intensity level is also suppliedto the climate control system control unit to dim the backlightingof the displays: it ranges from maximum lighting (daytime) to dimmed lighting(nighttime): the same logic also adjusts the control button lighting.
Functional description The 'ignition on' supply line (INT) , protected by fuse F49of the underfacia control unit B2, supplies lighting to the controlsin courtesy lights G10, the control panel on the tunnel H35 andto the controls in the centre button H90. On the 'HIGH' version the lighting of controlson front doors H44 and H50 is managed by driver side door controlunit M66 and passenger door control unit M67, supplied - at pin 11of connector E - from a line protected by fuse F32 of underfaciacontrol unit B2, and connected via a CAN line to Body Computer M1. On the 'LOW' version the services relay T13,located in the unit under the dashboard B2, supplies the lightingfor the controls in the front doors H44 and H50 protected by fuses F47and F48; also see 2427993SeeE3050ELECTRIC FRONT WINDOWS . The supply with the side lights on is, onthe other hand, provided by the Body Computer M1 - pin 18 ofconnector H to the air conditioning controls H80 and the specificbulbs G45 and also pin 40 of connector E to the current socket P50and radio P20. The 'MODE' and 'DIMMER' controls of unit H90,send a command to instrument panel E50, pins 8 and 9 of connectorA. Pin 12 of connector B of E50 emits adimmed power supply to control unit H90 and the air conditioningcontrols H90.
