DescriptionThe car is equipped with numerous self-diagnostic electroniccontrol units. When a tester (Examiner or other instrument)is connected to the control units, self-diagnostic data can be read(parameters, errors) or active testing can be carried out.All tester lines are connected to the EOBD(European On Board Diagnosis) connector in line with EC directive98/69 - ISO standard J1962, centralised on the Body Computer - connectorC.Nodes conected to the network are connectedvia the B-CAN while the vehicle dynamic control network is testedvia special K lines. The following are controlled viathe B-CAN network:underdashboard control unit;instrument panel;door control units;radio controls on the steering wheel;radio assembly;climate control system control unit; For more details 2429872SeeE1050CAN CONNECTION LINESThe following are controlled viathe individual K diagnostic lines:engine management control unit (and robotized gearboxcontrol unit, if fitted).;ABS control unit;parking sensors control unit;Air Bag control unit;electric steering control unit.
Functional description The centralised EOBD tester connector is built into Body Computer M1 connector C. it is supplied directly at pin 16 from aline protected by fuse F39 of underfacia control unit B2; Pins4 and 5 are earthed. Pin 1 is connected by line K to the ABScontrol unit M50 (pin 6) SeeE7020 ABS , SeeE7023 ESP ] Pin 3 is connected by line K to the AirBag control unit M60 (pin 7 of connector A)2428126SeeE7030AIRBAG Pin 7 is connected to the engine managementcontrol unit M102428068SeeE5030PETROL ENGINE ELECTRONICMANAGEMENT via a K line or 2428076SeeE5050DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT .
