Dodge Intrepid 1998 - 1998 ELECTRICAL Fuses & Circuit Breakers - Concorde & Intrepid
Dodge Intrepid 1998 - IDENTIFICATION JUNCTION BLOCK
CAUTION: When replacing a blown fuse, it is important to use only a fuse having the correct amperage rating. The use of a fuse with a rating other than indicated may result in a dangerous electrical system overload. If a properly rated fuse continues to blow, it indicates a problem in the circuit that must be corrected.
NOTE: The Junction Block (JB) may also be referred to as the fuse block.
The junction block is located behind the end cover at the left side of the instrument panel. See Fig. 1 .

Dodge Intrepid 1998 - Fuse Replacement
- Before replacing a fuse, always turn off the electrical item concerned. To identify a blown fuse, see Fig. 2 . Turn the ignition key to the "LOCK" position.
- Open the fuse cover.
- Referring to the fuse load capacity table, check the fuse pertaining to the problem. See FUSE COLOR CODE IDENTIFICATION
- A fuse puller is in the fuse block inside the car. First, pull the fuse puller out of the fuse block. See Fig. 3 . Then, using the fuse puller, pull the fuse straight out from the fuse block. If the fuse is not blown, something else must be causing the problem.
- Insert a new fuse of the correct amperage rating securely into the clip.
