Description - ENGINE COOLING - Fiat ULYSSE 2.0 16v fino a 04/03
The engine radiator and air conditioner condenser cooling system consists of two fans operated at three different speeds achieved by means of an additional resistance:
Operational Description - ENGINE COOLING - Fiat ULYSSE 2.0 16v fino a 04/03
Engine control unit M010 controls the operation of the engine cooling fan according to data supplied by linear sensor K120 and engine coolant sensor K036.Both sensors are connected directly to the engine control unit; K036 to pins E4, D4 (or D2, D3), while K120 is connected to pins H4, H2 and F2 of connector A.Depending on the data supplied by the two sensors, the control unit M010 and the body computer node M001, either activate the fan N011 at three different speeds or do not.Operation at first speed:The engine management control unit energizes relay J030, pin 2 from pin D4 connector A; the relay coil is supplied by the engine compartment junction unit B001, from pin 14 connector C, by the line protected by fuse F08 and operated by a specific relay. When the relay is energized, it supplies the fan N011, by means of the two resistances O010 and O012 through the line coming from the junction unit B001, pin 6 connector G protected by fuse FM6: it therefore turns at the first speed.Operation at second speed:The body computer node M001 energizes relay J031, pin 2 from pin 30 connector M; the relay coil is supplied by the engine compartment junction unit B001, from pin 10 connector C, by the line protected by fuse F01.When the relay J031 is energized, it supplies the fan N011, by means of the single resistance O012 through the line coming from the junction unit B001, pin 6 connector G protected by fuse MF6: it therefore turns at the second speed.Operation at third speed:The engine management control unit energizes relay J032, pin 2 from pin B2 connector A; the relay coil is supplied by the engine compartment junction unit B001, from pin 14 connector C, by the line protected by fuse F08 and operated by a specific relay. When the relay J032 is energized, it supplies the fan N011 directly without passing through the resistances, through the line coming from the junction unit B001, pin 1 connector G protected by fuse MF1: it therefore turns at the third speed.
