The simultaneous operation of the door locks takes place via:- the key;- the door handles;- the interior button;- the remote control. The remote control incorporated in the key has 4 buttons:- one for activating the central locking (locking) command, switching on the alarm and the location function;- one for activating the release of the central locking and switching off the alarm.- one for opening/closing the right sliding side door;- one for opening/closing the left sliding side door.Pressing the locking button for a while activates the so-called "location" function: all the interior courtesy lights, together with the direction indicators, come on for a few seconds.Pressing the unlocking button a second time activates the so-called "passenger compartment ventilation" function: the front and rear side windows lower fully to allow outside air into the passenger compartment. The central locking button, located near the front courtesy light, makes it possible to lock and unlock all the doors from the inside. The handle on each of the four doors allows the doors to be opened from inside: all the doors including the tail-gate are unlocked when one handle is opened. The tailgate is fitted with a 2- position electric lock:- locked position (deactivated position);"released" position (activated position). The tailgate lock does not have a lock barrel, the opening of the tailgate is controlled by a button next to the number plate. This external button is deactivated if the vehicle is locked but activated with the ignition key on M or one minute after turning the key to S.The operation of the locks is managed by the Body Computer which controls the effective state of the locks by means of signals which arrive from the switches in the actual locks (these signals are also used for the light delay timer): in this way, the "locking" command is only carried out if all the doors are properly shut and the locks unlocked; conversely, the "unlocking" command is only carried out if the locks are locked; The remote control receiver aerial is incorpated in the steering column switch unit (steering wheel node); the activation and/or deactivation information is sent to the Body Computer via the CAN.767 The automatic locking of the doors with the vehicle moving takes place, if the function is activated, when the speed of the vehicle reaches 10 km/h; pressing the central locking button briefly (< 3 secs.) deactivates the automatic locking function until it is next switched off.The switching off and activation of the automatic locking function whilst driving can be activated by a long press on the central locking button. The tailgate lock is always activated and cannot be deactivated.767 In the event of an accident, the body computer receives air bag device deactivation information from the air bag control unit and controls the opening of all the doors.
The central locking system is managed by the body computer node M001.The steering wheel node M093 receives the door open/closed signal from the remote control. The command issued (door opening or closure) is sent via the CAN line from steering wheel node control unit M093 (pins 1 and 3 connector A) to body computer node M001 (pins 5 and 3 connector G respectively); the body computer node (pin 11 connector B and pin 1 connector G) supplies it with two lines (pin 5 connector A and pin 4 connector D respectively), of which only the latter is protected by fuse F04.IThe command for opening/closing the doors can also be sent by the internal switch I110.Pressing the special switch on unit I110 (pin 6) sends an earth signal indicating that the locks have been locked/unlocked from pin 6 to the body computer node M001 (pin 28 connector I). Body computer M001 (pin 9 connector D and pin 12 connector F) also supply power to I110 (pins 1 and 4 respectively).Rear lock electric motors N055, N056 (pins 3, 1) and front lock electric motors N050, N051 (pins 7, 2) are supplied by the body computer node M001 (pins 13 and 15 connector F respectively), which controls door opening or closure depending on the command received.A superclosure signal is sent from pin 16 of connector F of body computer node M001 to pin 8 of left front lock N050 and right front lock N051.The child safety catch closure signal is sent from pin 2 of connector H of body computer node M001 to pin 3 of left rear motor N151 and right rear motor N152. Pin 1 of the above motors is connected to pin 15 of connector F of M001.Front catches N050, N051 communicate with body computer M001:- from pins 9 and 5, door locked/unlocked status, to pins 27 and 29 respectively of connector L;- from pin 6, door open/closed status, to pins 4 and 5 respectively of the same connector.Sliding side door opening is indicated (pin 1) by special switches I018 (left) and I019 (right) to body computer M001 (pins 34 and 33 connector L respectively).Electric boot lock N057 is commanded (pin 1) from body computer M001 (pin 35 connector I) and also sends (pin 3) a boot lid closure signal (pin 13 connettore L).The signal from boot lid switch I011 (pin 1) is also sent to body computer node M001 (pin 10 connector I).
