DescriptionThe door mirrors are adjustable electrically in both directions by means of a joystick; a slide switch selects the right or left mirror. The button, which can be pressed in four directions, controls two electric motors located in each of the two mirrors: one motor rotates the mirror on a horizontal axis, while the other on a vertical axis.Mirror movement is disabled with a battery voltage of less than 10 V, and takes place when the ignition is on.The circuit is controlled by the services relay and protected by two fuses, all located in the unit under the dashboard. In the presence of an ignition-controlled supply (INT), the Body computer energizes the relay; dudring starting, this relay is temporarily deactivated. If the ignition is off (STOP), the Body Computer keeps the relay - which also supplies the electric windows - activated for 3 minutes, but deactivates it immediately when one of the two front doors is opened 3023321SeeE3050ELECTRIC FRONT WINDOWS .
Functional description The services relay T13, located in the unit under the dashboard B2 , supplies with the logic described above and controlled by the Body Computer M1 - pin 14 of connector F - the controls unit on the door H44 , via two lines, protected by fuses F47 and F48. The unit H44 incorporates the joystick and switch controlling the motors of the door mirros P60 and P61 .

5530B18

Follow these precautions.769On batteries with an opticam hydrometer, electrolyte level and battery charge status can be monitored qualitativelyby examining the indicator colour: a light, bright colour indicates low electrolytelevel: top up with distilled water;a dark colour without a green area in thecentre indicates that the electrolyte level is correct but chargeis low: recharge the battery; a dark colour with a green area in themiddle indicates that both electrolyte level and charge status arecorrect: no action is necessary. For further details, see DESCRIPTION ANDOPERATION - 5580.768Proceed as follows.Check the battery voltage without loadusing the test device recommended by the Service outlets (e.g. 'MICRO360'). Depending on the voltage values measured, which define the state of charge of the battery, proceed as follows:If the voltage without load is less than12.10 V, replace the battery (see op.). 5530B10).If the voltage without load is over 12.10V but less than 12.50 V, recharge the battery (see op. 5530B14).If the voltage without load is over 12.50V, the battery is efficient. If necessary, top up the electrolyte asfollows.Carefully remove the cap strip.Top up with distilled and deionized water, taking care not to allow electrolyte to splash out.768
