DESCRIPTION - REVERSING LIGHTS - Fiat 500 1.3 Multijet
The vehicle is equipped with a white reversing light located in the right side light.It is activated each time reverse gear is engaged: this information is received via a switch located on the outside of the gear casing.The circuit for the reversing lights is supplied by an ignition-controlled line protected by a fuse in the engine compartment junction unit.The reverse engagement signal is also acquired by the engine control unit, sent via the CAN to the Body Computer, which forwards the information for the automatic operation of the rearscreen wiper, the parking sensor control unit, the Blue & Me map navigation system, etc.The same signal is used directly for the management of the electrochromic interior mirror.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - REVERSING LIGHTS - Fiat 500 1.3 Multijet
The reversing lights switch I020 receives an ignition-operated power supply (15/54) via a line protected by fuse F87 of the engine compartment junction unit B001 (pin 14 of connector B).When reverse gear is engaged, the switch I020 closes and sends a power supply to the reversing light in the right rear light cluster F031 (pin 4).The right rear light cluster F031 (pin 3) is connected to the left rear earth C030.The reverse gear engagement signal is acquired by the engine management control unit M010 (pin 26 of connector A for the 1.2 petrol version; pin 84 of connector for the 1.4 petrol version; pin 94 of connector A for the 1.3 JTD version) and is sent from there, via the CAN (pins 50 and 49 of connector A for the 1.2 petrol version, pins 89 and 88 of connector A of M010 for the 1.4 petrol version, pins 64 and 40 of connector A of M010 for the 1.3 JTD version) to the Body Computer and to the other network nodes involved.
