The vehicle can be fitted, on request, with a simple radio preparation, (opt. 082) which includes a simple power supply for the radio not fitted on the vehicle, but installed in the aftermarket in accordance with the following ISO standard pin out:pin A1 : n.c.pin A2 : n.c.pin A3 : n.c.pin A4 : direct supply (+30)pin A5 : aerial power supplypin A6 : control lightingpin A7 : ignition-operated power supply INT (+15)pin A8 : earth
The pins connected with the speakers are the same as the standard version (pins B1-B8).769The radio installed in the AFTERMARKET is therefore not a CAN node through which information is exchanged with the Body Computer and with the other electronic units.The vehicle is equipped with wiring comprising:2 mid-woofer front speakers located in the doors;2 tweeters located in the front pillars near the rear view mirror triangles;cables connecting the radio with the speakers;stylus aerial with support mounted at the rear of the roof, coaxial cable and supply lead for aerial.
To prevent the user tampering with the vehicle wiring and the connection to supply lines other than those intended, there is also further preparation in the AFTERMARKET. This preparation involves the connection, through three dedicated connectors, of a direct battery power supply (+30), an ignition-controlled power supply (+15) and an earth connection useful when fitting the radio. There is no connecting wiring for the consoles or the aerial nor actual components on this option.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - RADIO - Fiat 500 1.3 Multijet
The vehicle is equipped with two different types of radio preparation:preparation complete with leads, consoles and aerial;preparation with power leads only.
The first version is described below.A direct battery power supply reaches pin A4 of connector A of the radio P020 via the line protected by fuse F36 of the Body Computer M001 (pin 12 of connector E).The radio also receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) at pin A7 of connector A along the line protected by fuse F51 also located in the Body Computer M001 (pin 4 of connector E).Pin A8 of connector A of P020 is connected to the driver''s dashboard earth C015.The radio aerial P025 is connected via a dedicated coaxial cable to connector B of P020.Connector A of the radio P020 is also connected to the speakers:from pins B5 (+) and B6 (-) to driver''s front speakers P035 (mid-woofer) and P045 (tweeter);from pins B3 (+) and B4 (-) to passenger side front speakers P036 (mid-woofer) and P046 (tweeter).
The aerial power supply P025 is sent from the radio P020 from pin A5 of connector A.Turning the side lights on (pin 51 of connector D of M001) creates the power supply for the lighting for the radio P020 (pin A6 of connector A) supplied by pin 60 of connector D of the Body Computer.The second version of radio preparation is described below.On the version which has radio power leads only, connectors A, B and C for the aftermarket radio preparation coupling D260 are connected respectively to the ignition-controlled power supply (INT), to the direct battery power supply (+30) and to the driver''s dashboard earth C015 in the same way as for the version described previously.
