DESCRIPTION - FOG LIGHTS - Fiat BRAVO 1.4 16v
The vehicle is equipped with two additional fog lights, located in the front bumper. The fog lights are activated via the special button on the control unit in the centre of the dashboard, left side; when the lights are on, the warning light in the instrument panel comes on.Two dedicated relays, located in the engine compartment junction unit, control the engagement of the two fog lights separately via two lines each protected by a dedicated fuse. The relays are managed by the Body Computer; the energizing of the relays is activated by:- key on enablement signal (INT);- a control signal coming from the switch;- the side lights on signal. If the side lights are turned off, the fog lamps are deactivated even if the operating button is still pressed. When the side lights are switched on again, the fog lights do not come on automatically, but only when the button is pressed again. If the key is switched off (OFF position) and then switched back to the MAR (ON), the relevant button must be activated again to turn on the fog lights. The body computer also manages the cornering lights function: with the dipped headlamps on at a speed of between 10 and 40 km/h if the steering wheel rotation angle is large or the direction indicators come on, the fog light on the side involved comes on: nightime visibility is thereby improved.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - FOG LIGHTS - Fiat BRAVO 1.4 16v
The (earth) activation signal for the fog lights reaches pin 35 of connector g of M1 from the control button in the panel in the centre of the dashboard, left side H90B.The reference earth reaches pin 1 of H90B from pin 36 of connector G of M1.The side lights activation signal is sent to pin 28 of connector G of the M1 from the steering column switch unit H5.The coil for relay T14 is supplied by the ignition-controlled line 15/54 whilst relay T17 is supplied by the starting exclusing ignition-controlled supply (INT/A) protected by fuse F31 of junction unit B2.The Body Computer M1 receives a direct supply from the battery via the line protected by maxifuse B99 at pin 18 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit under the dashboard B2; the ignition-controlled supply (INT) reaches pin 9 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit B2.The Body Computer M1 controls the separate supply for the fog lights sending an earth signal to relays T14 and T17 in the junction unit in the engine compartment B1 from pins 18 and 11 respectively of connector A of M1.These control signals energize relay T14 which supplies the left fog light F15 and relay T17 which supplies the right fog light F16 via the lines protected by fuses F30 and F9 of junction unit B1.The Body Computer M1 is connected via the CAN line to the instrument panel E50 to manage the "fog lights on" warning light.
