DESCRIPTION - HEATED REAR WINDSCREEN AND DOOR MIRROR DEFROSTING - Fiat BRAVO 1.4 16v
In the case of poor visibility it is possible to activate the demisting of the rear screen and the door mirrors. The heating coils for these components absorb a considerable amount of energy and are therefore controlled and possibly deactivated after they have been working for a certain length of time: the demisting is subject to a delay timer, managed by the Body Computer, according to the following logic:- ignition-operated, starting excluded (INT/A);- engagement signal coming from the special button in the climate control system control panel.Under these circumstances the resistances remain supplied for a maximum of 20 minutes, then the supply is cut off.The supply is cut off in the following conditions:- Key-off- disengagement signal from the button;- battery voltage below 11.5 V;- after the first 10 minutes of operation if the engine speed is below 960 rpm. With the defrosting on the warning light in the climate control system controls also comes on.The activation timer (20 minutes) is set again each time the button is operated. In specifications with an AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONER, the climate control system control unit logic also intervenes with the "MAX-DEF" command.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - HEATED REAR WINDSCREEN AND DOOR MIRROR DEFROSTING - Fiat BRAVO 1.4 16v
Heated rear window relay T11, located in the junction unit under the dashboard B2, controls the simultaneous activation of the defrosting function for both the heated rear windscreen P055 - line protected by fuse F40 - and also the defrosting resistances for the windscreen washer O50 and O51 and the exterior rear view mirrors P60 and P61- line protected by fuse F41.The coil for relay T11 receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT/A) and is energized by an earth signal coming from the Body Computer M1 - pin 6 of connector F; this signal is sent on the basis of a complex control logic illustrated previously and, in particular, when a signal arrives - at pin 32 of connector G of M1 - coming from the rearscreen button pressed (or the MAX-DEF function). On versions with a heater or manual climate control, this signal comes from the climate control system unit H80, to which the feedback signal for turning the relevant LED on is sent - from pin 21 of connector H of M1.On versions with automatic climate control, this signal comes from the climate control system control unit M70 to which the feedback signal for turning the LED on is resent via the CAN line.
