DESCRIPTION - DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTOR - Fiat BRAVO 1.4 16v
The vehicle is equipped with numerous electronic control units with an autodiagnostic function. When a diagnostic tester (Examiner or other device) is connected to these control units, self-diagnosis data can be read (parameters, errors) or the available active diagnostic tests can be carried out.All the diagnostic lines flow into the EOBD connector (European On Board Diagnosis) which conforms with Directive 98/69/CE (EURO 3) - ISO standard J1962 in the Body Computer connector C of M1.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTOR - Fiat BRAVO 1.4 16v
The EOBD central tester output is built into Body Computer M1 connector C.It is supplied directly by the battery at pin 16 of the line protected by fuse F39 of underfacia junction unit B2 ; pins 4 and 5 are earthed.Similarly connector R10 is supplied directly by the battery at pin 16 of the line protected by fuse F39 of underfacia junction unit B2 ; pins 4 and 5 of R10 are earthed.Pisn 6 and 14 of M1 C and of R10 are connected to the B-CAN: this network controls and "diagnoses" the junction unit under the dashboard B2, the instrument panel E50, the Air Bag control unit M60, the seat management control units H66 and H67, the integrated radio-telephone-navigator unit P20, the Bluetooth control unit M162, the climate control system control unit M70 or the additional heater M75 and the parking sensor control unit M84.Pin 1 of M1 C and of R10 is connected by the K line to the ABS control unit M50 (pin 11)andPin 7 of M1 C and of R10 is connected by the K line to the engine management control unit M10orThe power steering control unit M86 is connected at pin 9 of M1 C and of R10The electronics for the gas discharge headlamps F10 and F11 are connected to pin 12 of M1 C and of R10The control unit for the T.P.M.S. M47 is connected to pin 13 of M1 C and of R10, at pin 17
