DESCRIPTION - HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR - Fiat BRAVO 1.9 JTD 8v
The adjustment of the headlamp light beam according to the load is carried out by means of a special device (located inside the front light cluster) which tilts it appropriately, lowering the light beam if the vehicle is heavily laden and raising it if the load lessens.This adjustment can be carried out by pressing the "+" and "-" buttons in the control unit in the middle of the dashboard, left hand side which can assume four positions- position 0: one or two persons in the front seats, full fuel tank, fully equipped (vehicle in running order);- position 1: five persons;- position 2: five persons with full luggage compartment (about 50 kg);- position 3: driver and 300 kg load, all stowed in the luggage compartment (full load);The setting is memorized and shown in the instrument panel display; the latter manages the control logic described above directly.The device is enabled only with the dipped beams on.The relay which controls the engagement of the dipped headlamps also supplies the adjustment motors inside the headlamps; this relay for switching the dipped headlamps on is managed by the Body Computer: relay energizing is activated by enablement signals with key in the ON (INT) position and with the dipped headlamps on.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR - Fiat BRAVO 1.9 JTD 8v
The dipped headlamps activation signal is sent to pin 2 of connector I of the Body Computer M1 from the steering column switch unit H5.The Body Computer M1 receives a direct supply from the battery via the line protected by maxifuse B99 at pin 18 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit under the dashboard B2; the ignition-controlled supply (INT) reaches pin 9 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit B2.The Body Computer M1 controls the supply for the dipped headlamps and the lamp adjustment motors sending an earth signal to relay T1 in the junction unit under the dashboard B2 from pin 8 of interface connector F which energizes relay T1: this supplies the dipped headlamps and headlamp adjusment motors F10 (left) and F11 (right). Each circuit is protected by a fuse in the junction unit B2 : F13 for the left headlamp and F12 for the right.The control for adjusting the headlamps is located in the control panel in the middle of the dashboard, left side H90A.The reference earth reaches pin 11 of H90B from pin 36 of connector G of M1.The control signals produced by the two + and - buttons leave pins 2 and 4 of H90B for the instrument panel E50 - pins 13 and 16.The enablement signal (dipped headlamps on) reaches pin 8 of E50 whilst the command for activating the adjustment motors incorporated in the headlamps - pin 9 of F10 (left) and F11 (right) leaves pin 7 of E50.
