DESCRIPTION - REAR FOG LAMPS - Fiat BRAVO 1.4 16v TJet
The vehicle is equipped with extra- bright red rear fog lamp located in the rear bumper on the left (on the right on right hand drive versions). The fog lights are activated via the special button on the control unit in the centre of the dashboard, left side; when the lights are on, the warning light in the instrument panel comes on.The switching on of the rear fog lamp is managed by the Body Computer; it is activated by:- key on enablement signal (INT);- a control signal coming from the switch;- dipped headlamps or fog lights on signal. If the dipped headlamps lights or the fog lights are turned off, the rear fog lamps are deactivated even if the operating button is still pressed. When the side lights are switched on again, the rear fog lamps do not come on automatically, but only when the button is pressed again. If the key is switched off (OFF position) and then switched back to the MAR (ON) position M, the button must be activated again to turn on the fog lights. The rear fog lamp check function checks that the light is working properly: the following are checked:- circuit open or bulb missing- short-circuit to earth (bulb s.c. or wiring s.c. to earth)- short circuit to battery voltage (wiring short circuited to Vbatt)When one of the situations described above is ascertained, the Body Computer makes the failure status available to the CAN: a special "lights failure" warning light comes on in the instrument panel and, at the same time, the information is shown in the display.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - REAR FOG LAMPS - Fiat BRAVO 1.4 16v TJet
The (earth) activation signal for the rear fog lamps reaches pin 35 of connector G of M1 from the control button in the panel in the centre of the dashboard, left side H90B.The reference earth reaches pin 1 of H90B from pin 36 of connector G of M1.The Body Computer M1 receives a direct supply from the battery via the line protected by maxifuse B99 at pin 18 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit under the dashboard B2; the ignition-controlled supply (INT) reaches pin 9 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit B2.The low beam activation signal is sent to pin 2 of connector I of M1 from stalk unit H5.The fog lights activation signal reaches pin 38 of connector G of the Body Computer M1Body Computer M1 controls the supply to rear fog lamp F32 from pin 43 of connector E.This line has a dedicated power supply, protected by fuse F53 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2, via pin 19 of connector F that interfaces between B2 and M1.
