The adjustment of the two door mirrors is achieved by means of the special control device located near the driver''s mirror. Both mirrors are adjusted by means of a single button which can be pressed in four directions: this is made possible by a switch that allows either the left or the right mirror to be selected. The button controls two electrical motors located in each of the two mirrors: one motor allows the rotation of the mirror on a horizontal axis, the other on a vertical axis. The rear view mirror adjustment circuit is protected by a fuse located in the junction unit that also protects other ignition-controlled power supplies. The adjustment can only take place with the ignition ON.
The dual control switch for adjusting the mirrors H30 operates the two electric motors in the driver''s P60 and passenger P61 exterior rear view mirrors. The switch receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) from the line for fuse F49 located in the junction unit under the dashboard B02 at pins 7 and 8 of H30, whils pin 5 is earthed.Switch H30 (pin 8) is lit up with the ignition on (INT).Depending on the position of the selector, the driver''sr side motors (signals coming out of pins 1 and 3 of H30) or the passenger side motors (signals coming out of pins 2 and 4 of H30) are connected; the joint power supply leaves pin 6 of H30 and is connected to pin 5 of motors P60 and P61.Once the selector is set to the driver''s or passenger side mirror, the switch is activated in one direction or the other sending the motor the corresponding positive or earth signal thereby determining the direction of rotation. The motors that adjust the vertical position are connected to pin 4 of P60 and P61, those that adjust the horizontal position to pin 3.
