A cigar lighter is housed to the right of the ashtray. This is surrounded by an lighted ring with the side lights on.Press the cigar lighter knob to operate the lighter: after a few seconds it will emerge automatically, ready for use.An extra power point to the left of the ashtray may be used to connected 12V instruments or devices.The cigar ligher and power point circuit is protected by a specific fuse and controlled by an ignition-operated cut-out relay located in the under-dashboard junction unit.The power points are supplied on with the key ON.
The facia power point P51 and cigar light/power point P50 receive power from relay R12 via a line protected by fuse F44, both contained in under-dashboard junction unit B02.These lines leave the control unit from pin 9 of connector E and enter pin 2 of P51 and pin 2 of P50.The power supply of relay R12 is received from the direct line protected by fuse F1 contained in engine compartment junction unit B01 while the coil is excited by ignition switch H01 (INT/A).The earth is supplied at pin 10 connector E of under-dashboard junction unit B02, at pin 3 of cigar lighter/power point P50 and pin 3 of power point P51.The ring around facia power point P51 and the right around cigar lighter P50 are lit (both at pin1 of each socket) with the side lights on via an enablement signal leaving body computer M01 and protected by fuse 51 of under-dashboard junction unit B02.
