The electric windows for the front doors are operated through the switches on the driver''s door (both windows) and the passenger side (passenger side only).Both windows can only be operated with the ignition ON.Operation is permitted for a further two minutes after the ignition has been switched from ON to OFF, but only if the doors are closed.The electric windows circuit is protected by two special fuses, one for the driver''s side and one for the passenger side and controlled by a specific relay, located in the junction unit under the dashboard.
The operation of the front electric windows circuit is supplied by the electric windows relay R13.It receives a power supply from the direct line from the battery protected by fuse F2 housed in the engine compartment junction unit B01 and is energized by an earth signal leaving the body computer M01.When energized the relay supplies the driver''s door electric windows controls H44 (pin 5 connector A and pin 11 connector B) and the electric window switch on the passenger door H50 (pin 5) via two lines protected by fuses F47 and F48 of the junction unit under the dashboard B02 (pins 30 and 17 connector D).The driver''s side electric window closing and opening signals leave the electric window control unit H44 from pins 3 and 4 respectively; for the passenger side electric window motor it is from pins 9 and 10 of connector B of the driver''s door electric window control unit H44.The passenger side motor N61 is also controlled by the electric window switch on the passenger door H50 (in a way that is mutually exclusive with the driver''s door electric windows control unit H44) via pins 3 and 4.Pin 6 connector A and 12 connector B of the driver''s door electric windows control unit H44 are earthed.The body computer M01 receives both an ignition-controlled (INT) and direct power supply at pins 11 of connector E and pin A of connector C respectively of the junction unit under the dashboard B02.There is a proective fuse F1 for the direct power supply located in the engine compartment junction unit B01.Pins 8 and 9 of connector D of the body computer are earthed.
