DESCRIPTION - BOOT OPENING - Fiat GRANDE PUNTO 1.4 8v
The boot opening geared motor is operated by:- the remote control;- the locking/unlocking button in the centre console.Operation through the remote control takes place in two ways.- indepedently of the doors: there is a special button on the remote control that allows the boot only to be "unlocked": the boot is released and lifts up slightly. The operation is signalled by the direction indicators flashing twice; when it is closed again the boot returns to the state prior to opening.- together and at the same time as the unlocking of the doors: the tailgate is considered as a fifth door to all intents and purposes: for the control logic.One of the two modes described above can be selected using a special setup in the instrument panel.The boot opening circuit is protected by a specific fuse, located in the Body Computer.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - BOOT OPENING - Fiat GRANDE PUNTO 1.4 8v
The boot opening function is controlled by Body Computer M1.Body Computer M1 receives the following inputs:- door lock/release signals from the aerial-receiver of remote control unit P93, which is connected to pins 1 and 2 of connector K of M1;- a negative signal from the boot release button, located in control unit H90, at pin 25 of connector D of M1; the reference earth reaches pin 5 of H90 from pin 49 of connector D of M1.Body Computer M1 - connector G - is supplied directly by the battery via a line protected by maxifuse F2 of engine compartment control unit B1; it is supplied with an ignition-operated supply (INT) at pin 32 of connector D; pin 10 of connector H of M1 supplies the Body Computer with a reference earth.According to the control logic illustrated, Body Computer M1 implements the boot release positive control function from pin 30 of connector E - via the line supplied by fuse F73 of Body Computer M1- controlling the operation of the boot lock geared motor N57.Body Computer M1 is connected via the CAN line to instrument panel E50, to which it sends a signal that turns on the boot open warning light, where necessary, and activates the buzzer to give an acoustic signal.
