DESCRIPTION - CONTROL LIGHTS - Fiat GRANDE PUNTO 1.4 16v
The car is equipped with numerous light sources for optimal lighting of interior instruments and controls.Some of these are lit with the ignition ON (INT), others with the side lights on, others are dimmable in accordance with a rheostat-controlled adjustment strategy managed by the Body Computer.The Body Computer manages the lighting - with the side lights on - of:- cigar lighter;- radio display (aftermarket version only)- climate control system controls.The Body Computer manages the dimmed instrument lighting with the display.If the side lights are deactivated, the display is 100% lit up and the brightness cannot be adjusted (dimmed). Adjustment is possible only with the exterior lights on. When the exterior lights are activated, the display brightness dims automatically to a preset value and the graphics and gauges light up. The driver can adjust the panel brightness and passenger compartment interior in general (to 8 levels) by pressing the + and - keys on the panel to the left side of the facia. The "MODE" "+" and "-" located on the panel to the left of steering wheel H91 send analogue signals to instrument panel, at pins 13 and 16 of instrument panel E50. A reference earth reaches pin 1 of 91 from pin 42 of connector D of M1.The Body Computer M1 is connected via the CAN line to the instrument panel E50 from which it receives the "brightness adjustment" signal which is transmitted to the radio node and to the climate control system control unit in versions with an automatic climate control system.When the side lights are on, the power supply is supplied by Body Computer M1 - pin 31of connector E to cigar lighter light P50 and also from pin 19 of connector H of M1 to radio controls P20. Lastly, climate system controls G45 are lit from pin 11 of connector E of M1 (only in versions with a manual heater or climate control system).Ignition-operated supply line (INT) protected by fuse F61 of Body Computer M1 supplies lighting to the control panel to the left of the facia H91 - from pin 17 of connector H of M1, to the central panel H90 - from pin 16 of connector H or M1 and lastly to the steering wheel control unit D47 - from pin 18 of connector H of M1.The heated seat controls are lit in similar manner:
