DescriptionThe vehicle has two special lamps for the main beam headlamps. These are switched on:with the dipped beam headlamps switched on by pushing the steering column switch unit lever towards the dashboard (stable mode)in 'flash' mode, by pulling the lever towards the steering wheel (unstable mode)Thr circuit is protected by a special fuse and controlled by a relay, both located in the junction unit in the engine compartment.A warning light in the instrument panel signals that the main beam headlamps have been switched on.During engine start-up (key ON), the high beams are temporarily off and then turned back on when the engine is started.
Functional description The high beam activation control is issued by stalk H005 by turning lever unit C to position 1only after activating the low beams SeeE2011 DIPPED HEADLAMPS . Body computer node M001:receives a negative signal (relating to earth C020 connector B) at pin 5 connector P.767Earth C020 is fastened to the passenger compartment floor and is located near the right front wheel arch (footwell).Once it has received the signal, it turns on the hgih beams:from pin 17 connector C it sends a negative signal to the coil of relay T02, supplied by an ignition-operated line protected by fuse F31;The relay closes its internal contact and supplies a direct batter supply from pin 83 connector D of B001 to the high beams housed in front light clusters F010 and F011. The same process is activated when key D (flasher mode) of stalk unit H005 is pressed. From pins 35, 36 of connector I, the body computer node communicates with instrument panel E050 via the CAN network (for more details see SeeE1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES ) and turns on the light flasher warning light.
