DescriptionThere is a sensor on each tyre valve that measures the pressure and temperature of the actual tyre: this signal is transmitted via RF to an aerial, incorporated in the electronic control unit which manages and controls the system: the control unit sends this information to the Body Computer via the serial line: the 'insufficient pressure' signal for the tyre concerned is sent via the CAN to the instrument panel which activates the appropriate signals. The control unit supply lines are protected by special fuses in the underdashboard control unit.
Functional description The control unit M47 is supplied at pin 8 directly from the battery by the line protected by maxifuse F39 of the underdashboard control unit B2 . The supply controlled by the ignition (INT) reaches pin 5 from the line protected by fuse F51 of the underdashboard control unit B2 . The control unit is earthed at pin 7. The serial line connected to the Body Computer M1 leaves from pin 3 of M47 . Self-diagnostic data can be read by connecting to connector C of Body Computer M1 - pin 1: it receives signals from pin 4 of the control unit M47 via the special diagnostic line. 3361166SeeE8010DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTORThe aerial that receives the signals for the wheel sensors is incorporated in the actual control unit.
